This year I ran a round table workshop on effective internet marketing at Britannia’s Annual Conference in Cardiff. It was focused around what makes internet marketing effective and how businesses can generate more sales online:
Websites work well when they have clearly established goals, when good calls to action are in place, when your users are able to get around them easily and quickly and when the design serves the content.
In discussions with members it was encouraging to see that those who had started Search Engine Optimisation and Google Adwords campaigns were seeing a return, which was far outperforming the traditional print avenues such as Yellow Pages.
Finally we had a chance to showcase the success we have achieved so far with over 35% more traffic year on year in May, and the highest number of enquiries generated to date.
